As you worship with us and get to know us, we hope that you will desire to make Chester Presbyterian your church home.
You are encouraged to attend our Inquirers’ Class that is offered twice a year. The class will help you find out: who we are, what we believe, what we do, and how we do it. It also includes information on opportunities for growth and service along with a chance to develop friendships with other people considering membership, as well as with some of our current leaders.
When you are ready to unite with our congregation, our Membership Coordinator will guide you through the process. You will meet with the Session (the governing body of the church) and may become a member in one of three ways:
- By letter of transfer from a Christian church in which you are currently a member
- By reaffirmation of faith if you have been inactive recently in the worship life of a church
- By profession of faith and baptism if you have never joined a Christian church
